Machine Description

iDEAL BAS 320 flash butt welding machine for band saw blades, year 2016. Handles the full spectrum of blade types - bi-metal, carbide, wood and stainless steel - up to 50 mm clamping width, covering blade dimensions from 6 x 0.40 mm up to 54 x 1.60 mm on bi-metal stock. At 25 kVA with 38 kN clamping force and 10 kN upsetting force it delivers consistent, high-integrity welds across carbon and stainless steel strip with maximum cross-sections of 150 mm2 and 60 mm2 respectively. The welding and annealing cycle is fully automatic and recipe-controlled from the touch panel: the operator inserts the blade, presses start and the machine handles the rest. Pneumatic clamping, water-cooled electrodes and an 800 kg industrial frame make it a workhorse for sawmills, blade service centres and large metalworking operations.
